Sevanti Roy Weitz is an accomplished designer and a craft expert who was brought up in Santiniketan, West Bengal, a centre for art and cultural heritage. She has worked with Indian sustainable craft for the last 20 years and also directed her own textile export company supplying some of the most established UK retail fashion brands. She was head designer of Fabindia (Jaipur) and her designs have been sold in brands such as Zara, East, Brora, and many more. She has given many workshops and talks including an illustrative lecture at the Norwich Castle Museum for Fashion and Passion Day. Her work as an educator has included delivering undergraduate and post-graduate print courses for Fashion and Design collages. This work has included specialist mentoring programmes for postgraduate students and developing course components covering Conceptual and Lateral thinking in Design.
